Thursday 3 October 2024 the president of Assumption University of Thailand (AU), Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, hosted a prestigious dinner event, bringing together notable alumni and CEOs from leading companies held at Hei Yen Chinese Restaurant, Kaysorn Plaza, the gathering was aimed at fostering stronger connections between the university and industry leaders.
During the dinner, the president highlighted the university’s commitment to nurturing future leaders and emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and business sectors. The event provided an opportunity for alumni to reconnect with their alma mater and share their experiences and insights with current university leadership.
CEOs from various industries, including technology, finance, and manufacturing, participated such as AIS, Pizza 1112, PWC, The federation of Thai Industries, Fujitsu, Warri Sports and Ptc., in discussions about potential partnerships, internships, and scholarship opportunities to benefit students. The evening also featured a keynote address by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kitti Phothikitti, Vice President for Educational Innovation and Graduate Studies, who underscored the need for academic institutions to stay at the forefront of innovation to prepare graduates for the challenges of tomorrow’s workforce.
The event was a significant step in building a stronger bridge between the university and the corporate world, with many attendees expressing optimism about future collaborations that will benefit both students and the broader community.
