Assumption University of Thailand (AU) proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of the Department of Business Japanese, Theodore Maria School of Arts, at the SIAM J-SHOW 2024. Our talented students won the prestigious Creative Activity Award in the UNIVERSITY SANDBOX zone, showcasing their creativity and passion for cultural exchange.
Their exceptional booths highlighted the essence of Japanese culture with interactive and artistic displays, including:
Kendama: Demonstrating the skill and precision required in this traditional ball-and-string game.
Origami: Showcasing intricate paper folding, including the legendary 1,000 cranes that symbolize healing, good fortune, and protection.
Tanabata Festival: Introducing the festival’s heartwarming traditions, such as writing wishes on colorful Tanzaku paper and hanging them on bamboo trees, inspired by the story of Orihime and Hikoboshi.
