We are thrilled to announce that Associate Professor Dr. Rawin Vongurai, Program Director, Doctor of Philosophy in Technology, Education, and Management and Director, Center for Research and Planning at the Graduate School of Business and Advanced Technology Management, Assumption University of Thailand (AU), has been appointed as an Expert Member of the Higher Education Commission. This prestigious appointment, effective from July 2, 2024, follows the approval by the Cabinet as proposed by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation.
Dr. Rawin's appointment comes as the previous chairman and members completed their four-year terms on March 9, 2024. With this new role, Dr. Rawin will bring his extensive expertise and dedication to advancing higher education in Thailand.
Dr. Rawin graduated with First Class Honors in Bachelor of Electronic and Communications Engineering from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. He continued his graduate studies at the same institution, receiving a full grant from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Scholarship, provided by the United Kingdom Government’s leading funding agency. In 2013, Dr. Rawin completed his Ph.D. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Nottingham.
Upon graduation, Dr. Rawin joined Assumption University in 2014 as a full-time lecturer. He has since been an integral part of the university community, demonstrating exceptional dedication to advancing research and innovation in technology management. His work at the GS-BATM Advanced Research Center has significantly contributed to the field, earning him this well-deserved position.
