Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali Krom Muen Suddhanarinatha was born on Saturday, July 13, 1957, at Guy's Hospital in London, England. She is the eldest child of Mom Rajawongse Adulakit Kitiyakara, an older brother of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, and HSH Princess Bandhu Savali Kitiyakara (Yugala).
Princess Soamsawali began her education at Chitralada School, where she was classmates with Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana. She is the proud mother of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati. On August 12, 1991, her official full title became "HRH Princess Soamsavali Phravararajatinuddamatu," meaning the mother of the king's first grandchild.
For over 30 years, HRH Princess Soamsawali Krom Muen Suddhanarinatha has been at the forefront of Thailand’s response to HIV. In recognition of her tireless efforts, UNAIDS presented her with the title of UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador for HIV Prevention in Asia and the Pacific in 2019.
Royal Duties at Assumption University of Thailand
Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali Krom Muen Suddhanarinatha has graciously presided over several significant events at Assumption University of Thailand, demonstrating her enduring support for education and community initiatives.
- October 20, 2001: HRH Princess Soamsawali presided over the opening ceremony of the 13th ASEAN Law Students Conference, "Discover the Real World, Discover the Real ASEAN," at Suvarnabhumi Campus.
- August 19, 2002: HRH Princess Soamsawali presided over the opening ceremony of the “International Congress of FILLM” at Suvarnabhumi Campus.
- November 30, 2007: HRH Princess Soamsawali presided over the opening ceremony of the exhibition celebrating His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary at Suvarnabhumi Campus.
- August 22, 2018: HRH Princess Soamsawali graciously presided over the celebration of the 36th anniversary of the Ruamchit Normklao Foundation (for Youth) under the Royal Patronage at Suvarnabhumi Campus.
