The Legacy of Saint Theophane Vénard
Saint Theophane Vénard, the patron saint chosen by Rev. Bro. Verayuth, perfectly encapsulates the ideals of courage, faith, and resilience. Born in 1829 in France, Theophane felt called to the missionary life and joined the Society of Foreign Missions of Paris. Sent to Vietnam during a time of intense Christian persecution, he ministered in secrecy, fearlessly spreading the Gospel despite constant danger.

Captured and sentenced to death, Theophane displayed extraordinary grace, writing letters filled with hope, joy, and love for Christ until his final moments. His famous words, “Happiness is only found in heaven; let us strive to reach it,” encapsulate his unwavering faith and focus on eternal life.
