The Executive Board of Assumption University of Thailand (AU) convened today at Hua Mak Campus in an atmosphere marked by both introspection and forward-thinking resolve. At the helm was Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., recently installed as the President of Assumption University of Thailand , who led discussions focused on innovation, institutional growth, and the steadfast values that define AU.


The gathering brought together key figures in university leadership, each representing diverse facets of the institution's priorities—from academic excellence to community engagement. Against the backdrop of educational challenges and opportunities, the board reaffirmed the institution’s mission of delivering a transformative educational experience that prepares students for an increasingly complex world.
Rev. Bro. Dr. Amnuay Yoonprayong, V.P. for Moral Development Education, opened the proceedings by reminding the board of the university's commitment to nurturing both the mind and the spirit. He underscored the critical balance between academic rigour and moral responsibility—a balance that has long been a hallmark of AU.
Rev. Bro. Dr. Verayuth Boonpram, V.P. for Research and Academic Services, outlined the strides being made in the realm of research, emphasizing the role of innovation in maintaining AU's leadership position. Meanwhile, Rev. Bro. Dr. Monthol Prathumarach, V.P. for Special Affairs, focused on student welfare initiatives that aim to build a supportive and inclusive environment. He spoke passionately about expanding extracurricular opportunities and fostering partnerships with external organizations to bring real-world learning into the classroom.
Adding to the discussion, Mr. Sompol Na Songkhla, V.P. for Legal and Privilege Affairs, provided crucial updates on policy matters. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of governance while navigating evolving regulations. His contributions were a reminder that robust institutional health begins with clear policies and a commitment to justice.
The meeting also showcased AU’s strategic ambitions. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krisana Kitcharoen, V.P. for Strategic Advancement, presented initiatives aimed at strengthening AU’s international partnerships, positioning the university as a key player in global academic networks. Asst. Prof. Dr. Uree Cheasakul, V.P. for Academic Affairs, detailed plans to further develop the curriculum, ensuring that it remains responsive to the needs of both students and society.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Kitti Phothikitti, V.P. for Educational Innovation and Graduate Studies, brought a vision of the future to the boardroom, introducing initiatives that leverage technology to transform the learning experience. He spoke of pilot programs incorporating digital tools designed to make learning more engaging and adaptive, reaffirming AU’s commitment to fostering an environment of creativity and progress.
As the meeting drew to a close, Bro. Sirichai delivered a rallying call to his colleagues. "Together, we will navigate the path to a greater future for Assumption University of Thailand, grounded in our values and a commitment to serving society," he said. His emphasis on fidelity, loyalty, and esprit de corps resonated deeply, encapsulating the spirit that has been the university’s guiding light for decades.
