Assumption University of Thailand (AU) successfully completed its Internal Quality Assessment for the Academic Year 2023 on September 4, 2024. Held at the John XXIII Conference Center, Suvarnabhumi Campus, the event was a significant milestone in AU’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.

 
 

The day began with an early morning meeting of the Internal Quality Assessment Committee, where final preparations were made for the comprehensive evaluations ahead. By 9:00 AM, the formal opening session was underway, with Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., AU President delivering an inspiring welcome address. The President took the opportunity to introduce the university's administrators, setting a tone of transparency and collaboration that would carry throughout the day. Honorable internal quality assessment committee are TQA lead assessors, Asst. Prof. Dr. Phanasan Kohsuwan, Mr. Voravuth Chengsupanimit, and Mrs. Supamittra Danpanich.

Following the introduction, Asst. Prof. Dr. Phanasan Kohsuwan, the Chair of the Internal Quality Assessment Committee provided an overview of the assessment procedures, ensuring all participants were aligned on the day’s objectives. This was followed by a detailed presentation from Asst. Prof. Dr. Uree Cheasakul, Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Chair of the AU Quality Assurance Executive Committee, who highlighted the university's achievements in 2023 through an engaging Virtual Tour Review (VTR). The presentation was met with nods of approval, underscoring AU's progress in key performance areas.

 
 

Much of the day was dedicated to a series of interviews, where committee members engaged directly with different groups within the university. The interviews, divided into sessions with AU Administrators, Deans and Associate Deans, Faculty Representatives, and Support Staff, were marked by open and constructive dialogue. Participants shared their experiences, achievements, and challenges candidly, providing the committee with a well-rounded understanding of the university's operations.

 
 
 

Feedback from the committee was overwhelmingly positive. The AU Administrators were commended for their strategic vision, while the Deans and Faculty Representatives were praised for their commitment to academic rigor and student engagement. The Support Staff, often the unsung heroes of the institution, were recognized for their invaluable contributions to the smooth functioning of the university.

As the day drew to a close, the Committee Consensus Discussion synthesized the day's findings, highlighting both strengths and areas for continued improvement. The final feedback session was a moment of pride for all involved, as the Internal Quality Assessment Committee acknowledged AU’s achievements while providing insightful recommendations for future growth.

In his closing remarks, Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g.,AU President expressed heartfelt gratitude to the committee, faculty, and staff for their dedication and hard work. He emphasized the importance of continuous improvement and reaffirmed the university's commitment to maintaining the highest standards in education.

The event concluded on a high note, with refreshments and informal discussions among participants, who left the conference center with a renewed sense of purpose and optimism for the future.

AU’s successful Internal Quality Assessment is a testament to the institution’s unwavering commitment to quality and excellence. As the university moves forward, the insights gained from this assessment will play a crucial role in shaping its strategies and initiatives, ensuring that AU remains a leader in higher education in Thailand and beyond.
