On August 21, 2024, the Amaret Pitak Room buzzed with excitement as graduate students from various provinces of China, including Sichuan, Harbin, Guizhou, Zhejiang, Chongqing, and Guangdong, gathered for a unique learning experience. This diverse group of students participated in a mini Presentation Workshop, part of the "Fast Track: English for ALL" initiative offered by the Center for Career Development and Counseling, Student Affairs.

The workshop, designed to enhance students' presentation skills in English, was offered free of charge, reflecting Assumption University's commitment to supporting students' academic and professional growth. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm as students engaged in activities that aimed to build their confidence and competence in delivering presentations in a global language.

However, the day held an extra special significance. The workshop coincided with the birthday of Assumption University's esteemed President, Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D. Seizing the opportunity, the students and the workshop instructor decided to create a video presentation to express their heartfelt birthday wishes.

In the video, students conveyed their appreciation for Rev. Bro. Sirichai's dedication and leadership, expressing gratitude for his role in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment at AU. The video was a touching gesture, symbolizing the close-knit community that thrives within the university's walls.

The event not only provided students with valuable skills but also allowed them to connect with the university's leadership in a meaningful way. This memorable day highlighted the sense of unity and shared purpose that defines the AU community, where students and faculty come together to celebrate both academic and personal milestones.

As the day concluded, the students left the workshop with newfound skills and a deeper connection to Assumption University, inspired by the leadership of Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka and the opportunities provided by the university to excel and grow in all dimensions of life.
