On December 20, 2024, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) ’s Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology (VMES) successfully hosted a forward-looking seminar on Thailand’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle (EV) market. The event held at the VMES Auditorium, Suvarnabhumi Campus, the event brought together a vibrant mix of students, faculty, and community members to explore critical trends shaping the nation’s EV landscape.


 

 

 

Three prominent figures headlined the seminar. Mr. Suroj Sangsnit, President of the Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT) and Executive Vice President at SAIC MOTOR-CP, delivered insights into current market conditions and policies influencing EV growth. Dr. Chana Yiangkamolsing, EVAT Committee member and Chairman of the Training & Education Working Group, focused on EV technologies, user choices, and safety considerations. Completing the lineup, Mr. Chumpol Khongsakul, Brand & Communications Manager at MG Thailand, shed light on modern marketing tactics fueling public interest and consumer trust in EVs.

From early morning until midday, the auditorium was alive with informed discussions about innovation, sustainability, and strategic communication. Attendees left better equipped to understand the factors driving Thailand toward a cleaner, more efficient transportation future.
