In a spirited demonstration of civic duty and reverence, students from Assumption University of Thailand (AU) participated in a royal volunteering activity on July 28, 2024, to commemorate the 6th cycle birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King. The event, held at Wat Sri Rattana Thammaram in Bang Chalong, Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan province, drew over 60 students, faculty members, and representatives from the university's student organization.

The day's activities included an exhibition honoring His Majesty the King, vocational training booths, various volunteer services, and a royal kitchen serving meals to attendees. The event, designed to celebrate and promote community spirit, saw enthusiastic participation from the university community.

Ms. Watinee Janarge, Director of the Office of Thai Art and Culture, lauded the students' involvement. "This event is a testament to the dedication of our students and their commitment to community service. It not only pays homage to His Majesty the King but also fosters a sense of unity and responsibility," she remarked.

The successful execution of this event was the result of meticulous coordination among several university departments. The Office of the Registrar and Evaluation, the Financial Assistance Division, and the Office of Vice President for Legal and Privilege Affairs were instrumental in organizing transportation and logistics. Additionally, the Student Affairs department and the Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO) played pivotal roles in supervising and guiding the students throughout the day's activities.

"We are incredibly proud of our students' willingness to serve and contribute to such a meaningful occasion," added Ms. Watinee. "Their actions embody the core values of our university and highlight the importance of service and solidarity."

This event underscores Assumption University's ongoing commitment to civic engagement and its dedication to honoring the royal family through active participation in national celebrations.
