In times of crisis, our strength as a community is measured by our willingness to stand together and support those in need. Today, we have the opportunity to demonstrate our collective compassion and dedication by contributing to the recovery efforts for our fellow citizens affected by the devastating floods in northern Thailand.

Assumption University, in support of The Mirror Foundation, is spearheading a vital initiative to provide relief to those who have been hardest hit. From August 27-30, 2024, we will be gathering essential items such as cleaning supplies, bedding, kitchen appliances, and even pet food, to support the initial recovery efforts in the flood-affected areas.

Your participation is crucial. We invite every member of the AU community—students, faculty, staff, and alumni—to join this heartfelt cause. Donation points have been set up at both our Suvarnabhumi and Hua Mak campuses:

  • Suvarnabhumi Campus: In front of CL, Center Point Dome 4
  • Hua Mak Campus: In front of the bookstore

The collection will take place daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. On Friday, August 30, at 2:00 PM, we will come together to sort the donations in preparation for delivery. The final step in our mission of kindness will be on Saturday, August 31, when we transport the donations to The Mirror Foundation, where they will be distributed to those in need.
This is more than just a donation drive—it's a chance to embody the values of solidarity, service, and empathy that our university stands for. Your contributions, no matter how big or small, will make a significant impact on the lives of those who are currently facing unimaginable challenges.

  • Spread the word: Encourage friends, classmates, and colleagues to participate.
  • Volunteer your time: Join us on August 30 for the sorting of donations or on August 31 for the delivery to The Mirror Foundation.
