Assumption University of Thailand (AU) is proud to announce that its golf team has been selected to represent Thailand at the prestigious Pan Pacific University Golf Super League Tournament 2024. The tournament will be held at the Grand Fields Country Club in Shizuoka, Tokyo, Japan, from September 2 to 7, 2024.

Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of Assumption University of Thailand , personally met with the 10-member golf team to extend his heartfelt congratulations and offer words of encouragement before their departure. In his address, he emphasized the significance of their role as representatives of both the university and the nation.


 

 

Rev. Bro. Sirichai highlighted three core principles for the team to uphold during the competition:
1. Dignity: "Compete with pride and maintain the honor of our institution. Your actions should reflect the values that AU holds dear."
2. Discipline: "Adhere to the rules and respect the guidance of your coaches and mentors. Consistent training and focus are key to success."
3. Dedication: "Give your best in every aspect of the tournament. This experience is an opportunity to learn, grow, and excel both as athletes and as individuals."

AU is the sole representative of Thailand🇹🇭 in this international tournament, where they will compete against top university teams from Japan🇯🇵, the United States🇺🇸, China🇨🇳, and South Korea🇰🇷. The tournament will feature 28 teams, including 14 men's and 14 women's teams.
