The unveiling ceremony of the Sino-Thai Creative Art Research Center and the Artist Work Camp, a collaboration between Assumption University of Thailand and Sichuan Conservatory of Music, was successfully held on the afternoon of September 14, 2024. This event marks a significant step forward in deepening cooperation between the two institutions and continuing their long-standing friendship.

At 2 p.m., Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, President of Assumption University, and his delegation arrived at the City Concert Hall of Sichuan Conservatory of Music. Together with President Wen Feng, Vice President Wang Yan, and other leaders from the conservatory, they unveiled the Sino-Thai Creative Art Research Center. This center aims to explore new concepts and methods in art education, foster international artistic talents, and enhance cultural exchange between China and Thailand.

Ceremony Highlights

Later, at 4 p.m., Dr. Sirichai and his delegation attended the unveiling ceremony for the Sino-Thai Creative Art Research Center - Artist Work Camp at the Chengdu Academy of Fine Arts. Vice President Mou Wenhu welcomed the Assumption University delegation, emphasizing that the Artist Work Camp will provide a platform for teachers and students from both universities to engage in deep artistic exchanges and co-create masterpieces reflecting the spirit of the times.

Dr. Sirichai Fonseka expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating that the Artist Work Camp will build a cultural bridge between China and Thailand, broadening the horizons of teachers and students alike, and fostering artistic growth across different cultural backgrounds.
