Bangkok, Thailand – On February 28, 2025, students from the Graduate School of Business & Advanced Technology Management at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) had an exclusive opportunity to explore the global sports retailer Decathlon Bangna and learn about its innovation and sustainability strategies.

The visit provided an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at Decathlon’s global expansion, technical product development, and community-driven initiatives. The session was led by Tharit Chanthasorot, HRBP Supply & Warehouse, Bangkok Area, Suwit Praphansri, Bangna Store Leader, and Janejira Jittham, Business Developer, Schools & Hotels. The students were warmly welcomed into Decathlon's working space.

Through experience-sharing sessions, the students learned about Decathlon’s origins, global expansion milestones, and product development processes. They also explored the company’s sustainability efforts, including community-focused initiatives such as free sports events and workshops, all aligned with Decathlon’s corporate mission: 'Moving People through The Wonder of Sports.'

AU extends heartfelt thanks to Decathlon (Thailand) for sharing their expertise and passion for sports retail innovation. Our students left inspired and better equipped to integrate sustainability, entrepreneurship, and global brand strategies into their studies and future careers.

As part of the visit, students engaged in an interactive store experience, exploring Decathlon’s diverse product lines. They were challenged to identify products that met key criteria—iconic designs, eco-friendliness, technical performance, and affordability. Whether bicycles, clothing, or shoes, Decathlon’s products reflect a commitment to innovation and sustainability throughout their lifecycle.

AU extends heartfelt thanks to Jordane Czapski, Retail & Commercial Leader, and Srisuthep Poonsrisup, Talent Acquisition Leader, People Team, Decathlon (Thailand), for making the visit possible. Our students left inspired and equipped to integrate sustainability, entrepreneurship, and global brand strategies into their studies and future careers.
