Assumption University President, Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, along with Vice President for Special Affairs, Rev. Bro. Dr. Monthon Prathumrach, and Vice President for Educational Innovation and Graduate Studies, Dr. Kitti Phothikitti, visited the Institute of Analytics (IoA). Located in London, IoA is the Professional Body for Analytics and Data Science professionals in the UK and internationally. This visit signifies a major step toward enhancing the university’s academic and research capabilities in data science and analytics.




The IoA is a not-for-profit organization that promotes greater awareness, understanding, and innovation in analytics and data science. It is fully supported by leading organizations in the sector and provides its members with valuable networking opportunities, career development resources, knowledge sharing, Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programs, and the official designation of membership.
During the visit, President Sirichai and his team engaged with Prof. Claire Hodgson, Relationship Manager, and Rohan W., Data Training Specialist, alongside key executives and researchers at the IoA. Discussions focused on joint initiatives in big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and data-driven decision-making. Both institutions expressed interest in collaborative research projects, student exchange programs, and advanced analytics curricula.
“Our partnership with the IoA will open doors for our students and faculty to access cutting-edge knowledge in data science and analytics,” said President Sirichai. “It will also allow us to integrate more data-driven strategies into our academic programs and research activities.”
The visit also included a tour of the IoA’s state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced data visualization labs and AI research centers, showcasing ongoing projects in healthcare analytics and financial forecasting.
The visit concluded with the plan to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU), formalizing the partnership between Assumption University and the Institute of Analytics. This collaboration is expected to benefit both the academic community and industries seeking data expertise to address complex challenges.

- Access to Data Expertise: Gaining specialized knowledge in data analytics, data science, and artificial intelligence to enhance decision-making processes.
