On December 6, 2024, the Department of Digital Design and Innovation (DDI) from the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) hosted the highly anticipated DDI Showcase 2024 at the Suvarnabhumi Campus. The event, held on the first floor of the Martin de Tours School of Management, celebrated the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of over 100 DDI students who presented their innovative business ideas to a distinguished panel of judges.
The showcase was the culmination of months of hard work as students leveraged seed funding, ranging from 70,000 to 100,000 THB, provided by the university to develop their startups. The funding supported 15 dynamic teams in crafting Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) across diverse industries, including Travel, Entertainment, Education, Food and Beverage, Supplements, Fashion and Textile, Sustainability, and Legal Services.
This year’s event was part of the DDI Sandbox Project, a unique initiative designed to enhance entrepreneurial skills by encouraging students to create digital solutions that address real-world challenges and opportunities. Students demonstrated not only their innovative thinking but also their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical business development.
Each team shared their journey, presenting detailed roadmaps, business strategies, and MVPs to the panel, which included industry leaders and faculty experts. The audience witnessed a broad range of innovative ideas, reflecting the versatility and determination of AU’s aspiring entrepreneurs.
The DDI Showcase 2024 highlighted AU’s commitment to nurturing innovation and fostering the next generation of business leaders. Through events like this, the university continues to support and inspire students to transform their ideas into successful enterprises.
