Assumption University of Thailand (AU) proudly joins the Kingdom in celebrating the birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on April 2, 2025, marking 70 years of her extraordinary life dedicated to public service, education, culture, and the well-being of the Thai people.
Admired as the “Princess of Technology,” Her Royal Highness has become a national symbol of compassion, intellect, and tireless devotion to development. From her early years, Her Royal Highness has pursued academic excellence, earning multiple advanced degrees, including a doctorate in Development Education—and using that knowledge to uplift communities, particularly in remote and disadvantaged areas.
Throughout her remarkable career, Her Royal Highness has chaired and supported numerous royal foundations, including the Chaipattana Foundation, the Prince Mahidol Award Foundation, and the Anandha Mahidol Foundation, with projects ranging from health and nutrition to heritage preservation and technological innovation for the disabled. She has also played a leading role in promoting education in neighboring countries such as Laos, Cambodia, and China—building bridges through shared learning and opportunity.
At the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, Her Royal Highness has taught history for more than four decades and currently serves as Director of the Department of History. Her deep commitment to education and her love for Thai arts, classical music, and literature continue to inspire young people across the nation.
Assumption University of Thailand celebrates the legacy and vision of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn with deep respect and gratitude.
