Assumption University of Thailand (AU) proudly joined the celebration of the 22nd anniversary of the Restoration of Independence of Timor-Leste. Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran, President of Assumption University, led a distinguished delegation to honor this significant milestone in Timor-Leste's history.
The event was held in Bangkok, Thailand, and was marked by vibrant cultural performances, heartfelt speeches, and a renewed commitment to the enduring friendship between the two nations. In his speech, Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran expressed deep admiration for Timor-Leste's journey towards independence and the nation's ongoing efforts in nation-building. He stated:
"I would like to congratulate the people of Timor-Leste as you celebrate the anniversary of your Restoration of Independence on May 20. In the 21 years since Timor-Leste restored its independence, Assumption University and Timor-Leste have enjoyed a strong friendship and partnership based on mutual respect and a shared commitment to shared values."
