On Sunday, November 3, 2024, friends, family, students, and faculty gathered to honour two remarkable figures: Rev. Bro. Peter Arwut Silaket and Rev. Bro. Dr. Peter Siam Kaewprasith, Full - Time Lecturer, Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics who celebrated their Silver Jubilee in Religious Life. The ceremony, presided over by Bishop Francis Xavier Vira Arpondratana of the Chiang Mai Diocese, became a testament to lives lived with unwavering devotion and purpose.

 
 
 

The delegation from Assumption University of Thailand (AU) included Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, Rector Magnificus, AU President Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Rev. Bro. Dr. Amnuay Yoonprayong, Vice President for Moral Development Education, Rev. Bro. Dr. Verayuth Boonpram, Vice President for Research and Academic Services and Rev. Bro. Dr. Monthon Prathumarach, Vice President for Special Affairs, along with other esteemed members of the Gabrielite community.

 
 
 

The day began in reverence and joy. After 25 years of service with the Brothers of St. Gabriel, Rev. Bro. Peter Arwut and Rev. Bro. Dr. Peter Siam had long become pillars of the Assumption community, embodying its values of compassion, leadership, and dedication. They had given their lives to nurturing young minds and inspiring future generations, shaping not just the educational path of countless students but also their moral and spiritual foundations.

 
 
 

Lives of Faith and Service

Rev. Bro. Peter Arwut’s journey had always been defined by quiet dedication and a calling to serve through education. Known for his gentle presence and thoughtful guidance, he had worked tirelessly to bridge students’ spiritual growth with their academic potential. In hallways and classrooms, Rev. Bro. Arwut had become a trusted mentor, respected by all for his humility and quiet strength. His influence reached beyond the curriculum, instilling in his students the values of empathy, resilience, and integrity.

For Rev. Bro. Dr. Peter Siam, the years had been equally impactful. Known for his genuine warmth, he had always approached each day as a chance to build relationships and create a nurturing school environment. Beloved by students and colleagues alike, Rev. Bro. Dr. Siam had been a guiding presence, offering support and wisdom to all who sought it. His empathy had transformed the school’s atmosphere, making him not just a teacher but a friend, counselor, and model of faith for many young people.

A Moment to Reflect and Give Thanks

The Silver Jubilee celebration became a moment to look back on the legacies of both Brothers, whose commitment had sustained Assumption College Sriracha’s tradition of excellence for decades. Attendees gathered to reflect on the ways in which Rev. Bro. Arwut and Rev. Bro. Dr. Siam had shaped the school and its community, from their dedication to faith-based education to their steadfast support of students’ personal and spiritual development.

In his address, Bishop Francis Xavier Vira Arpondratana spoke of the brothers' remarkable service, noting the strength it takes to remain faithful to one’s vocation in an ever-changing world. The Bishop’s words echoed the shared sentiment: these Brothers had lived their vows in a way that transformed lives and cemented a lasting impact on the school’s legacy.

As the celebration came to a close, it was clear that Rev. Bro. Arwut and Rev. Bro. Dr. Siam’s contributions would continue to resonate. Their Silver Jubilee was not merely an acknowledgment of time served but a celebration of values embodied.
