With hearts united in sorrow and faith, the Assumption University of Thailand (AU) community mourns the passing of Sister Rene-Marie Saenghiran, a cherished member of the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres, on December 1, 2024, at the age of 90. Beloved sister of Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran, f.s.g., Ph.D., she embodied the congregation’s noble spirit—humility, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to serving Christ.
Sister Rene-Marie’s extraordinary 70 years of consecrated life reflected the legacy of St. Paul of Chartres, illuminating paths of education, pastoral care, and social justice. Her unwavering faith and tireless service are a testament to divine grace and the profound religious ethos she embraced.
As we stand in prayerful solidarity with Rev. Bro. Bancha, we honor Sister Rene-Marie’s life as a radiant witness to God’s love. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and her memory inspire us to greater heights of faith and service.
