A reception to mark Kuwait’s 62nd National Day and 32nd Independence Day was held at Chadra Ballroom, Siam Kempinski Bangkok Hotel.
Kuwait National Day is celebrated every year on February 25th. This day marks Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah's ascension to the throne in 1950.
Al-Sabah was an exceptional leader. During his reign, he signed a treaty that secured Kuwait’s independence from Britain, ending its status as a British protectorate in 1961. During Al-Sabah’s rule, the Constitution of Kuwait and the Parliament of Kuwait were formally established.
On the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the National Day and the 32nd anniversary of the Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait, a grand celebration was held on Friday, February 24, 2023, with a gala reception hosted by the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, H.E. Mr. Mohammad Husain Alfailakawi.
To mark this special occasion, the hosts invited Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President of the Assumption University of Thailand (AU). Rev. Brother Bancha congratulated the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait. In addition to the AU President, the Director of the Office of International Affairs, Mr. Glen Chatelier, and Mr. Thanat Saenghiran, an assistant lecturer at the School of Business administration, also participated in this event.
