On June 12, 2023, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, President of the Ruamchit Normklao Foundation (for Children and Youth) under Her Majesty’s Royal Patronage graciously presided over the opening ceremony on the occasion of the 40 Years of Taweesuk Ruamchit Normklao Foundation (for Children and Youth) in B.E. 2565 at Assumption University of Thailand (AU), Suvarnabhumi Campus. Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran, AU President as a Chair Board Committee organized this event and there were numbers of board committee from the foundation and other auspicious guests as follows participated: Mr. Promchat Sawatdiwat, Mr. Suthipong Julcharoen Dr. Wandee Julcharoen: Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and President of Ministry of Interior Wives Association, Asst. This event was organized to commemorate the origin of the establishment of the foundation in celebrating the bicentenary of Rattanakosin (Bangkok) Capital City of the Kingdom in B.E.2525. Chaired by the late HRH Princess of Naradhiwas Rajanakarin, according to the invitation of princess Ngarmchit Phurachatra, world famous person, as a co-founder. The current President of the foundation is Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali Krom Muen Suddhanarinatha. The foundation aims to recognize the benevolent contribution of the past Thai Monarchs towards the growth, security, and prosperity of the Kingdom. The foundation's emphasis on the expression of gratitude and loyalty to the Monarchy forms the pinnacle of its mission. The cabinet at that time delegated Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Education to support the implementation of the foundation’s mission.

The operation of the foundation in the past 40 years has received the highness kindness from members of the royal family, the corporation with good faiths from people in all sectors over the country, the committees from public and private sectors, including the altruistic donors for the continuing support the youth development in providing approximately 3,000 scholarships on morality and ethics through “Ruamchit Ruamjai” every year. The total amount of scholarship each year is approximately 11 million baht.

At present, the foundation has provided nearly 32,000 scholarships, with the total amount of over 262 million baht. In this initiative project, the governors are delegated as a chairman of the provincial scholarship committee, the president of provincial Wives Association is delegated as the chair of the provincial youth sponsorship committee and the advisor to the Bangkok governor, Chair of the youth sponsorship committee in Bangkok has regularly visited, monitored and taken care of all the youths with the compassion and generosity to resolve issues occurred with the scholarship recipients and their families. The scholarship recipients are underprivileged youths, by following this policy, the youths are not isolated and feel warmth as it is the best strategy to strengthen family relationships and prevent drug problems among inexperienced youths.
