The Theodore Maria School of Arts at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) welcomed hundreds of eager high school students, parents, and educators to its Arts Open House 1/2024 at the Suvarnabhumi Campus. The event offered attendees a comprehensive overview of the dynamic programs available in English, French, Chinese, and Japanese, as well as in business and language-related careers.
The day was filled with excitement as prospective students participated in interactive mock classrooms, gaining firsthand experience in the languages they may soon master. Teachers and students alike were impressed by the vibrant and supportive learning environment that AU fosters.
Dr. Chayada Thanavisuth, Dean of the Theodore Maria School of Arts, highlighted the unique spirit of the school, stating, “Our tagline, ‘MORE THAN FACULTY, WE ARE FAMILY!,’ truly encapsulates what makes our community special. We are a close-knit family that supports, encourages, and celebrates each other. This event was a reflection of that spirit, as we welcomed new members into our Arts family.”

One of the highlights of the event was the series of workshops specially tailored for high school teachers, focusing on phonics and classroom research. The workshops not only provided valuable insights but also culminated in the awarding of certificates, adding a formal recognition to their professional development.
Beyond the academic showcases, attendees also had the opportunity to tour the beautiful Suvarnabhumi Campus, where they interacted with current students and faculty. The campus tour gave a real sense of the community and culture at AU, which many found to be both inspiring and welcoming.
The event concluded on a high note with several attendees expressing their excitement about potentially joining Assumption University. "I was really impressed by the diversity of programs and the passion of the faculty," said one visiting student. "I can definitely see myself here next year."
As the Theodore Maria School of Arts moves forward into a new semester, the strength of its community lies in its unity and commitment to inclusivity, respect, and compassion. Dr. Chayada added, “Together, we face challenges, share successes, and continuously strive for excellence. Each member of our community is an invaluable part of our journey.”
With its successful Open House, Assumption University once again demonstrated its commitment to providing quality education that prepares students for the global stage. The Theodore Maria School of Arts is already looking forward to welcoming the next generation of students who are ready to embark on their academic journeys.
