Thirteen outstanding students majoring in Business Chinese at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) have successfully received scholarships awarded by the Chinese Ministry of Education's Center for Language Education and Cooperation. From June 3 to July 1, 2024, they participated in a four-week Chinese language study program at Xihua University in China. The purpose of this program is to enhance students' Chinese language skills, deepen their understanding of Chinese culture, promote the development of Chinese education, and help them become excellent Chinese language education talents internationally.

During the study program, the students underwent intensive training in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and they studied traditional Chinese culture in depth. They also visited the historic and culturally rich city of Chengdu, experiencing a variety of traditional Chinese cultural activities and interacting with students from Xihua University to deepen intercultural understanding and friendship. Additionally, they visited the Official Office of Assumption University of Thailand in China, sharing their experiences from Bangkok to Chengdu and gaining further insights into AU's collaborations and exchanges in China.

Through this study program, the students not only improved their Chinese language proficiency but also deeply appreciated the unique charm of Chinese culture and enhanced their intercultural communication skills, laying a solid foundation for their future work in Chinese education.

With the continuous strengthening of friendly relations between Thailand and China, the participation of Assumption University of Thailand students in the Chinese language study program at Xihua University will undoubtedly further promote exchanges and cooperation between the teachers and students of the two universities, injecting new vitality into the friendship between China and Thailand.
