Louis Nobiron School of Music, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) collaborated with the Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection (DJOP), Ministry of Justice, to host a music workshop from July 10-12, 2024, at Suvarnabhumi Campus. The event, under the project "Dream Chasing," aimed to enhance musical skills and capabilities of participating youth.

The music camp was designed to help the youth develop their musical talents in line with their interests. It aimed to use music as a therapeutic tool to alleviate stress and anxiety, foster positive inspiration, and enhance musical knowledge and skills, potentially leading to future career opportunities in the music industry. During the workshop, the participants composed a total of eight songs.

The event featured performances by renowned artists such as The Musketeers, former BNK48 members from the second generation, including Panda, Nine, Gygie, Wee, Myyu, Khamin, Stang, Pakwan, View, Fifa, and Bamboo. The Vintage Studio team also contributed to the workshop, along with faculty and students from the AU’ s School of Music, bringing joy and knowledge to the young attendees.

The closing ceremony was presided over by Pol. Lt. Col. Prawut Wongsinin, Director-General of DJOP. Notable attendees included Mrs. Nalinnat Krainara, Deputy Director-General of DJOP, and directors from DJOP's Bangkok and metropolitan area branches. Representing ABAC were Asst. Prof. Dr. Wanida Ngienthi, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Soonthorn Pibulcharoensit, The University’s Registrar, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Pannawit Sanitnarathorn, Dean, School of Music and the faculties. The event saw participation from 66 DJOP officers, staff, and youths.

On the last day, the workshop welcomed special guests Mrs. Natthaphan Srimuk, Assistant Director of Corporate Affairs at GMM Grammy Public Company Limited, and GMM Grammy artists Mr. Amorn Sookpimai (Saen Naga) and Ms. Mews Orapha Sooksai, who provided encouragement and support to the youth.

The collaborative effort between ABAC and DJOP demonstrated a shared commitment to youth development, leveraging the power of music to transform lives and provide meaningful opportunities for the future.
