The Department of Creative Communication Design at the Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) recently collaborated with Vince Hotel, Bangkok, offering students from the GDC3105 Brand Identity System course an incredible opportunity to work on a real-world design project. The students were tasked with crafting a new brand identity and signage system for the hotel.

The project kicked off with an insightful visit to Vince Hotel, where students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Apirat Parrapob, Managing Director of MP Hospitality Services. The visit allowed students to immerse themselves in the hotel's atmosphere, conduct a thorough survey of its spaces, and listen to the design brief that would guide their creative process.
This initiative goes beyond the classroom, providing students with hands-on experience in the field of brand identity design. By engaging with a live project, they are not only honing their skills but also contributing to the business development of Vince Hotel. The department extends its sincere thanks to Mr. Woraphot Atikarnboded, Managing Director of Vince Hotel Bangkok Pratunam, for generously offering this valuable learning opportunity.
Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran, President of AU, praised the initiative, saying, "This collaboration reflects our commitment to providing students with real-world experiences that challenge them to think critically, act creatively, and contribute meaningfully to society. I am confident that these future designers will leave a lasting impact on the industries they enter."
The culmination of the project saw students present their design proposals on August 13, 2024, at the CA Mini Theatre, Suvarnabhumi Campus. This event showcased the students' creativity, innovation, and ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical challenges.
As the department continues to foster partnerships that bridge the gap between education and industry, we look forward to seeing the positive impact these budding designers will have on the world of hospitality and beyond.
