As final exams begin at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) , students are gearing up for intense study sessions and late-night revisions. While academic success is important, so is maintaining well-being, especially during Mindful March—a time to focus on balance, mental health, and self-care.
Study Smart: Tips for Success
- Plan Ahead – Create a study schedule and stick to it. Prioritize subjects based on difficulty and exam dates.
- Take Breaks – The brain retains more information when study sessions are broken into intervals (try the Pomodoro technique: 25 minutes of study, 5-minute breaks).
- Stay Active – A quick walk or some light stretching can boost focus and reduce stress.
- Hydrate and Eat Well – Fuel your brain with nutritious foods and plenty of water. Avoid excessive caffeine or junk food.
- Get Enough Sleep – Pulling all-nighters can harm memory retention and performance. Aim for at least 7–8 hours of sleep.
Mindful March: Prioritizing Mental Health
Exams can be stressful, but mindfulness can help. Simple practices like deep breathing, meditation, and gratitude journaling can make a big difference. AU encourages students to check in with themselves, reach out for support when needed, and engage in activities that promote relaxation.
As we approach the International Day of Happiness on March 20, let’s remember that success isn’t just about grades—it’s also about well-being. Stay tuned for upcoming activities that celebrate happiness and well-being on campus!
Good luck on your exams, and take care of yourselves!
