On June 25, 2024, Hua Mak Campus buzzed with excitement as students gathered for a highly anticipated guest lecture by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kriskamol Na Jom from Kasetsart University's Faculty of Agro-Industry. Hosted by Theophane Venard School of Biotechnology, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) this event was part of the FBT4003 Natural Antioxidants and Toxicology course, offering students a unique opportunity to delve into the world of phytochemicals.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Kriskamol, renowned for his expertise in Food Chemical Safety and Metabolomics for Food Quality and Safety, captivated the audience with his insightful presentation on Phytochemicals. Phytochemicals are plant-based bioactive compounds produced by plants for their protection. They can be derived from various sources such as whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and herbs, and more than a thousand phytochemicals have been discovered to date.
