In a symbolic gesture underscoring Assumption University of Thailand (AU)’s commitment to its international outreach, Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, President of Assumption University of Thailand, accompanied by Vice President Asst. Prof. Dr. Kitti Phothikitti and senior officials, visited the university’s official office in China. The visit, designed to acknowledge the hard work of staff based abroad, brought renewed energy and a strong sense of purpose to the team.


As the autumn breeze filled the office, the President’s arrival lifted spirits, with Bro. Sirichai expressing heartfelt gratitude to the team for their steadfast dedication to Assumption University’s mission in China. During the meetings that followed, he highlighted the pivotal role the office plays in the university’s international strategy, particularly in fostering educational links between China and Thailand.



Recognizing China as a crucial player in the global education landscape, Bro. Sirichai underscored the need for sustained collaboration, urging the team to deepen partnerships with Chinese institutions. "The work you do here forms the bridge between two nations and helps to cultivate talent with an international outlook," he remarked. He also set out his expectations for the future, encouraging innovation and teamwork in the pursuit of the university’s goals.
Vice President Dr. Kitti echoed the President’s appreciation, lauding the office for its role in enhancing the University’s reputation on the global stage. He acknowledged the challenges faced by staff, assuring them of the university’s continued support. "Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we remain committed to helping you overcome the hurdles in both your professional and personal lives", he added.
The visit not only brought a sense of camaraderie but also reinvigorated the team’s commitment to the university’s international development agenda. As the China office moves forward, it will continue to serve as a key pillar in Assumption University’s drive for deeper educational exchange between Thailand and China.
