Assumption University of Thailand(AU) recently concluded its highly successful English for All workshop, designed to enhance English communication skills for Ph.D. graduate students from China. Held from August 7th to 23rd, the workshop featured a special tour and lecture led by A. Piya Sailomraksa, Counselor of Student Affairs, at Bro. Martin’s Collection on the sixth floor of the AU Library, The Cathedral of Learning Building.
The highlight of the visit was an inspiring journey into the life and legacy of President Emeritus, Rev. Bro. Prathip Martin Komolmas, f.s.g., Ph.D., a revered figure in the AU community. Students explored a diverse collection of books, souvenirs, and personal belongings, gaining a deeper understanding of the university’s rich history and foundation.

As part of their final public speaking workshop, participants selected an item from the collection that resonated with them, using it as the basis for a presentation to their peers. The experience not only honed their communication skills but also fostered a deeper appreciation for global perspectives.
The group, composed of university educators from China, is dedicated to shaping the next generation of leaders. They expressed their intention to share the insights gained from the workshop and Bro. Martin's visionary legacy with their students upon returning to China.
AU remains committed to promoting global education and cross-cultural understanding. The success of the English for All workshop reflects AU’s dedication to empowering students worldwide with valuable skills and enriching experiences.
