Assumption University of Thailand (AU) recently hosted a successful leadership training event titled "Management of Administrative Affairs: Roles and Responsibilities of University Administrators". The training targeted Deans, Heads of Departments, and Program Directors, providing them with essential tools and knowledge to excel in their roles and elevate academic standards.

The event took place on October 4, 2024, from 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM at the Seminar Room, De Montfort Hall, Hua Mak Campus. Organized by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the training was designed to strengthen the leadership and administrative capabilities of the University's Top Academic Personnel. Participants engaged in a series of insightful sessions that highlighted effective strategies and best practices for managing the intricacies of University Administration.

 
 
 

Assistant Professor Dr. Uree Cheasakul, Vice President for Academic Affairs, led the morning sessions, offering a deep dive into the key responsibilities of Academic Administrators. With her extensive experience in academia, Asst.Prof. Dr. Uree addressed common challenges faced by University Leaders and presented practical approaches to overcoming them. Attendees were able to gain valuable insights into managing departments effectively, ensuring a smooth academic operation, and fostering an environment conducive to learning and growth.

The afternoon featured a World Café session at 1:00 PM, facilitated by Dr. Kitikorn Dowpiset, Dean of the Graduate School of Human Sciences. This interactive and reflective segment fostered an open exchange of ideas among participants, encouraging collaborative problem-solving and shared experiences. The session's format was ideal for exploring the diverse challenges faced by University Administrators and identifying innovative solutions that could be implemented in their respective departments.

The training concluded with a session on Student Relationship Management, conducted by Dr. Weeraya Donsomsakulkij, Assistant to the Dean for Quality Assurance and Management. Dr. Weeraya emphasized the importance of nurturing strong student relationships and provided strategies to support student success, contributing to the university's overall mission of providing a high-quality educational experience.

 
 

This training event exemplified AU's dedication to academic leadership development, preparing its leaders to face challenges head-on and continue fostering a vibrant, supportive learning environment for students.
