In a move to deepen academic and cultural connections, executives from China’s Geely University visited Assumption University of Thailand (AU) on November 12, 2024. Held at Suvarnabhumi Campus, the visit organized by AU’s Office of Graduate Studies provided a platform for exploring collaborative projects in fields such as automotive engineering, business, and technology.

Geely University of China, formerly known as Beijing Geely University, is a private institution established in 1999 by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, the parent company of the automotive brand Geely. In 2020, the university relocated from Beijing to Chengdu, Sichuan Province, and was renamed Geely University of China.

The university offers a range of undergraduate programs across various disciplines, including engineering, business, and technology, with a strong emphasis on automotive engineering and related fields. This focus aligns with Geely's industry expertise, providing students with practical and industry-relevant education.

The Chengdu campus spans approximately 2,000 acres and features modern facilities designed to support both academic and practical learning experiences.
