In an inspiring display of international collaboration, students from St. Paul’s University in Kenya visited Assumption University of Thailand (AU)’s Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME) on November 20, 2024. The visit marked a significant step in fostering cultural exchange and academic synergy between the two institutions.

During their visit to MSME, the Kenyan students immersed themselves in interactive workshop on Thai culture ‘Leaf it to Nature,’ with the students from the BIB3201 Cross Cultural Human Resource Management course under the supervision of Acharn Kaimook Numgaroonaroonroj. Special thanks to A. Watinee Janarge, Director, Office of Thai Art and Culture and Asst. Prof. Dr. Amara Tirasriwat for their support and assistance with the workshop. The delegates engaged in lively discussions with faculty, and explored AU’s Suvarnabhumi Campus, an architectural marvel designed to inspire intellectual curiosity. The delegated also visited the ABLE Center and met with Dr. Akechai Judkrue, Director, ABLE Center and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Metta Ongkasuwan, Manager, ABLE Center.

The Kenyan delegation brought a unique perspective, sharing insights from their university’s programs in business, communication, and development studies. St. Paul’s is renowned for its emphasis on leadership, social responsibility, and community impact—values that align seamlessly with AU’s mission.

For the students of St. Paul’s, the visit provided a firsthand look at Thailand’s dynamic business environment and a chance to build connections that may shape their future careers. “We were deeply impressed by the facilities and the forward-thinking approach to education here at MSME,” said one student from the delegation.

As global challenges increasingly demand collaborative solutions, academic partnerships like this one underscore the vital role of higher education in cultivating the next generation of leaders.
