WRITER: THE AU LIBRARY
On November 29, 2024, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) welcomed a distinguished delegation from Chengdu Normal University, China, for a day of collaboration, learning, and cultural exchange at the Suvarnabhumi Campus.
The delegation, led by Qiu Xing, Vice President of Chengdu Normal University, included Liao Quan Ming, Secretary of the School of Education and Psychology; Zhou Jian, Secretary of the School of Sport; and Cheng Li, Section Head of International Exchange and Cooperation. This visit marked a significant milestone in strengthening academic ties between the two institutions.



The day began with a warm reception and a group photo in front of the iconic CL Building, followed by a tram tour of the campus, showcasing key facilities such as the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME), Theodore Maria School of Arts, and the Confucius Institute at Assumption University (CIAU) . The delegation gained insights into AU’s commitment to holistic education and innovation.



Later, a Program Cooperation Conference was held, where AU representatives discussed potential areas for collaboration. Representing AU were:

Prof. Dr. Kitti Phothikitti, Vice President for Educational Innovation and Graduate Studies, Dr. Gao Li, Director of the Thai-Chinese International College, Dr. Kitikorn Dowpiset, Dean of Graduate School of Human Sciences, Dr. Khongrit Chatpathomrak, Director of the Confucius Institute, Dr. Chayada Thanavisuth, Dean of Theodore Maria School of Arts.
Discussions covered joint academic programs, student exchanges, and research initiatives, paving the way for a stronger partnership. This visit exemplifies AU ‘s commitment to fostering international collaboration and sharing educational values across borders.
