The event, held at the Salle d'Expo Room on the Hua Mak Campus, brought together over 70 staff members and administrators from across the university to deepen their understanding of PDPA compliance and secure data management.
Organized by the Office of Human Resources Management in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President for Legal and Privilege Affairs and the Graduate School of Human Sciences, the workshop received overwhelming praise for its well-structured program and practical insights into Thailand’s PDPA regulations.

Mr. Sompol Na Songkhla, Vice President for Legal and Privilege Affairs, presided over the opening ceremony as chairman and graciously delivered the opening remark and speech of wisdom to the participants. He also provided full support by contributing essential knowledge throughout the event.

Their sessions focused on the roles and responsibilities of data controllers and processors, the lawful bases for data processing, and the penalties for non-compliance.
A Practical, Hands-On Approach
Participants engaged in pre- and post-session assessments to evaluate their understanding of the material, ensuring that they left with a clearer grasp of PDPA requirements. The event was structured to provide practical, actionable steps, allowing participants to apply what they learned directly to their departments. Attendees also participated in discussions on real-life scenarios related to data privacy challenges faced by educational institutions.
Key takeaways from the workshop included:
